PCRCAmerica was started to raise public awareness of animal welfare issues. Our goal is to be a one stop shop for pet care supplies, information and news alerts. Here’s a little bit about our staff:

Kate Garvey, Founder and CEO, began rescuing stray and injured animals in early childhood. Fortunately, her father, the late John Garvey was a veteranarian. Kate spent 6 years working beside her father as a vet tech. She has rescued dozens of stray and injured companion animals, been involved in spay-trap-and-release programs for feral cats, she spent summers working as a guide (horseback), and has also assisted in wild life rescue. Kate’s vast experience includes; President of REIN, Golden P.J. Awards, numerous awards in (dog) obedience, and athletics and she is a published author of two books and more than 30 articles on pet care. Kate is a freelance writer and animal advocate.

Jessica Dockter, Graphic Designer and Consultant. Jessica is the owner of L.E.E. Design and designs all of our logos and branding material. She is also the daughter of a veteranarian and shares a deep history with animals. Kate and Jessica have teamed up to help other business with writing and graphic design packages.  www.leedesign.org

Annie Beutler, Consultant. Annie runs a pet sitting service in Nashville, TN. She has extensive experience working with feral cat programs and wild life rehabilitation.

Dawn Garvey, Consultant. Dawn is a second year Veteranary student and President of the Veteranary Student Association. She has a broad exposure to animal science and is amoung a select group of students involved in international veteranary exchange. In addition to companion animal knowledge, Dawn is involved in wild life and bird studies. Dawn is also Kate Garvey’s neice.

Cathy Perkins, Wordpress wizard and pet lover. Prior to starting her business, Cathy worked as a programmer for many years.  She began her word press business because she loves to help people and she knew word press was a useful tool for bloggers and web-based business owners.  Cathy shares her heart and home with several rescued pets.  Additionally, she’s prepared grant requests her local Humane Association in North Carolina.  She helps clients through-out the U.S. Cathy is the founder of www.thewordpresswizard.com
